Build a program or session

This guide will walk you through creating a program or session within the GoXPro app. You’ll learn how to add programs, manage exercises, adjust parameters like reps, weight, and sets and how to save and share your program with clients.

Easy Steps

GoXPro Program Creation Tutorial
Step 1:
Client tab

Start by navigating to the Client tab in the coaching section. Choose the client you want to create a program for.

Step 2:
Programs

In the client profile, click on 'Programs' to create a new program. For this tutorial, we’re creating an 'Evolving Program' that evolves from session to session with up to five days of training. Here’s what you do:

  • Click 'Add' to start building your program.
  • Give your program a name.
Step 3:
Notes to client

Add important details for the client such as:

  • Goals, resting heart rate, anaerobic threshold, session numbers, and contraindications.
  • You can also leave notes for the client or coach, and specify areas to strengthen and stretch.
  • Click the '+' button to start adding exercises.
Step 4:
Program building options

Fast-track your program by either adding a template or building from scratch:

  • Click 'Add Exercise' to proceed.
  • Choose an exercise and click 'Add' to include it in the program.
  • Set the exercise parameters, or click the '+' button to continue building the program.
Step 5:
Exercise libraries

Toggle between the two exercise libraries for more options. Using the muscle group exercise library, you can:

  • Search by exercise type (e.g., warm-up, resistance training, cardio).
  • Click 'Resistance Training' and select a muscle group by clicking on the body silhouette.
  • Pick the exercise you want to use in your program.
Step 6:
Exercise parameters

Configure the following exercise parameters:

  • Sets, reps, weight, and rest periods.
  • Advanced options like supersets, tempo, or percentage of 1 Rep Max.
  • Click 'Add Set' to include additional sets for an exercise.
  • Prescribe specific tempo for each rep under each set.
  • Include notes or instructions for each exercise, visible to the client on their mobile app.
Step 7:
Finalising the program

Once you've built your program, follow these steps to finalise it:

  • Click 'Add' to confirm and add the exercise with its updated parameters.
  • Link exercises into supersets by using the arrows and clicking 'Save'.
  • Right-click or hold down on an exercise to access options like inserting templates, moving exercises, or deleting items.
  • Use the Rapid Insert function to quickly add exercises. Type the exercise name and press enter.
  • Click 'Add and Stay' to continue adding exercises, or 'Add and Close' when done.
Step 8:
Save and share

To save and share your program:

  • Use the options menu on the right to save the program as a template for future use.
  • From the same menu, share the program with your client via their app.
  • If the client doesn’t have the app, invite them to download it.
  • Use the 'Simulate Client App' feature to see how the program looks on the client’s app.
Step 9:
Alternate session view

Click the button at the top right to toggle to an alternate session view, displaying exercises with their corresponding titles, images, or videos.
