FAQs
Can the user add foods that they don’t like so that they are not suggested again by the AI. (E.g: Broccoli)

Yes. Users can inform their AI coach about any preferences, which will then be taken into account

Can users record that they are vegan or vegetarian?

Yes. During the onboarding process users can specify their dietary restrictions/preference. They can also inform their AI coach to further refine the meals, recipes, suggestions, etc.

Can users plan their meals in advance so that they can do a meal plan and prepare their food for the coming week?

Users can log their meals on CalorieCam on future dates. This is quite common as it makes it easier to stick to it. Users can also easily copy past meals they've had and log them for a future date.

Meal plans: are meal plans available with shopping lists and recipe instructions?

The AI coach can assist with all of that. It may also go beyond that. For example, if you're say “I'm an inexperienced cook, help me with....", it's specifically catered to you and your instructions.

We already have a number of recipes with instructions and a shopping list. Can these be included somewhere in CC to be accessed by a member?

No. If the client uses a cookbook at home they can simply cook their meal and then log it with CalorieCam.

That said, they can use the AI coach to help with the recipe (e.g. photo of recipe and then something like "can i substitute X with Y", "how can I change this recipe to include less carbs", etc.)

What are the key differences between MyFitnessPal and CalorieCam?
FAQ Dropdown Table
Feature MyFitnessPal CalorieCam Key Advantage of CalorieCam
Monthly Pricing $34 $18 More affordable (-46%)
Yearly Pricing $137 $118 Lower yearly cost (-14%)
Food Logging Merely suggests a list of items that may be in the image (see video attached). Each list item is a suggestion where the caloric values are not related to the actual items in the image. For example, a photo of a cheeseburger suggests "Burger", "Cheeseburger" etc. and does not take the actual burger (size, side dishes, toppings, sauces, etc.). Focuses entirely on the content of the actual image. It analyses the exact contents of the image and provides accurate caloric results (no need to pick items from a list or guess what is and isn't in the meal). Also supports context of meal consumed (e.g., "only had half of the rice"). Highly accurate and contextual.
Nutrition Tracking Largely based on meal libraries composed of standardised or (other) user-provided logs. Multi-step process, less accurate and not reliable. Each meal logged is exactly what you had on your plate. Easy ways to provide custom context ("only had half") and refine meal values if needed. Accurate and easy to customise.
Food Database Large database of (other) user-logged meals. Caloric values fluctuate for the same meals. (e.g., A Caesar salad in the US is different from a Caesar salad in Italy—size, sauce, ingredients, etc.). Meal library of your historic logs for making tracking meals faster and easier. Barcode scanner for packaged products. Consistent and user-friendly.
UI and Ads Extremely cluttered UI, ads on the free version, and frequent spam. Clean, simple, intuitive, and zero ads. Ad-free and intuitive design.
AI Coach Doesn't have one. Personal and tailored to you individually. Supports you on everything you need (recipes, cooking instructions, feedback, motivation). Proactively reaches out and makes sure you stay on track with your goal and overall health. Tailored, proactive AI support.
